Membership Categories

Member-at-large: A professional registered nurse residing in a state where a local chapter does not exist therefore, membership is obtained directly through this Association.


Chapter Member: A professional registered nurse who is a member of a state local chapter that holds membership in this Association, except military personnel who have the option of the chapter or member-at-large status.


Active Member: A professional registered nurse of Philippine ethnic origin who has been granted a license to practice in any state of the United States and/or its territories; and who has paid the required membership dues to their chapter or directly to the Association as a member-at-large.


Associate Member: A professional registered nurse of non-Philippine ethnic origin who has been granted a license to practice in the country of origin and/or any state/territory of the United States; and who has paid the required membership dues to their chapter.

Subscription to the Journal of the Philippine Nurses of America: As a paying member of the PNAA/PNA North Houston, you will receive updated information about PNAA activities.


Serving Your Colleague: You will have the privilege of serving as a delegate, officer, or committee member at the national level. You’ll vote on important issues, decisions, and actions that affect Filipino-American nurses and the Asian community at large.


Staying in Touch: Members are alumni of various schools and colleges of nursing in the Philippines. Activities are featured on the Website and in the Journal of the Philippine Nurses Association of America.
