Established in 2011, the Philippine Nurses Association of North Houston (PNA North Houston, Inc) is a 501c(6) non-profit professional nursing organization representing members from north Houston and other parts of Houston. Our mission is to uphold and foster Filipino-American nurses' positive image and welfare, promote professional excellence, and contribute to significant outcomes for healthcare and society through education, research, and clinical practice.
Our Story
PNA North Houston offers its members mentorship, leadership development, and educational programs essential for professional advancement through its regional, national, and international conferences in the U.S. and in the Philippines. We take advantage of the Philippine Nurses Association of America's (PNAA) leadership development program through the Leadership Institute which provides career development, team-building activities, and organizational skills program for rising and future leaders of PNA North Houston and PNAA. A number of our leaders have completed the iLDP. PNA North Houston is fully aligned with the vision of PNAA and also actively advocates and collaborates with other organizations/agencies to address and support policy development and legislation that affect the nursing profession, minority health, and diversity in the workforce.
