My name is Jan Lim BSN, RN. I am the Chair of Community Outreach of PNA North Houston.
My Story
I was born in Inabanga, Bohol, Philippines. I graduated from Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. I have 16 years of nursing experience and currently work at Houston Methodist Cypress Emergency Care Center. I am an RN II staff nurse.
Who has impacted you and why (professional or personal or both)
When I was a kid, I was always sick so I was always in the hospital and my family are mostly in the medical profession.
What makes you get up and do something every day?
As an event planner, I have a lot of things to do aside from being a nurse.
Why do you belong to an association like the PNA NH?
This is my way to give back to the community especially to the Filipino community here in the US and in the Philippines.
What do you love about the profession of nursing?
I love to render my unconditional care to my patients, and it is a fulfilling feeling when you see them getting better.
What do you do for fun?
I love to travel and have some fun in all the places I visit.
Where and what do you want to be in 3 years?
I will be a traveling nurse.
What does Bold and Unstoppable mean to me?
Being a creative and artistic person, I am always doing something good and that makes me unstoppable.
