My Story

I was born in Brooklyn, NY. I went to Sam Houston State University for nursing school. I have been a nurse for eight years. I work at Davita as a Clinical manager/coordinator, Preceptor, and RN Charge/staff nurse.

What do you love about the profession of nursing?

As a nurse, I find satisfaction in selflessness when helping people through their most vulnerable moments. I believe that patients and their immediate families' willingness to place their lives in the hands of those assigned to care for them demonstrates the ultimate act of trust. It is a great honor and privilege to give you this responsibility, and I will continue to do that throughout my nursing journey and beyond.

Who has impacted you and why (professionally or personally or both)?

My parents are my inspiration. They migrated here in 1986 and, through faith and resiliency, were able to build a comfortable and fruitful life for my brothers and me.  They taught me to love without expectation, always give my 100% in everything I do, and always trust God.

What makes you get up and do something every day?

My faith is what fuels me. God's purpose for me is to help others in any way possible, whether through my work, my time, or just providing a kind smile. I work hard because I want to provide the same type of lifestyle my parents gave me to my future wife and children.

Why do you belong to an association like the PNA NH?

I believe we, as healthcare professionals, owe our time and resources to our respective hospitals and clinics and the community as a whole. PNANH provides the opportunity to help beyond four closed walls. It provides networking, mentorship, fellowship, and leadership opportunities. Joining PNA NH gives me a sense of belonging to not just a nurse association but one that is entailed with our values and traditions as Filipino-Americans.

What do you do for fun?

Working out, Boxing.

Where and what do you want to be in 3 years?

If God allows, a husband and a father. I want to move up in the company and become a facility administrator in multiple. Davita clinics.

Anything that you want to share about yourself, family, pets, etc., that may surprise others?

I used to DJ in my early college years and yearly at St. Edwards Catholic Simbang Gabi. I play the Alto Saxophone, and I have a corgi named Ube. I am also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
